Prime Minister launched Ayushman Bharat Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana) 23rd September 2018 in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY Scheme) is leading National Health Protection Plan funded by Government of India.
Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (Ab PM-JAY) is the biggest health insurance across the globe that provides a health cover fund of Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary health care for poor, rural, and weak families that is almost 40% of India population.
This PM-JAY Yojana is a combination of Senior Citizen Health Insurance Scheme (SCHIS) and Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY). PM-JAY was initially known as National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS) before being renamed. - People who monthly income is more than INR 10,000.

- People who have Kisan card.
- People who on a steam fishing boat.
- People who have 5 acres or more agriculture land.
- People who are employed in Government-based non-agriculture companies.
- People who have fridges and landline phones in their homes.
Ayushman Bharat Yojana Eligibility Criteria for Urban or Rural Citizen
To get the Ayushman Bharat Yojana medical insurance, it is mandatory for all to check their names in the list of Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 information.
